I was privileged to hang out with Moriah (a fellow Halifax High School alum!) and Matt for their wedding. Their day started at the Hilton on Market Square, with the ceremony in the Capitol Building Rotunda and an awesome reception at Appalachian Brewing Company. If I had to sum up the day in one word, it’d be this: joyful. Moriah and Matt were both a little nervous before the wedding, but I watched as the nervousness eased as they saw each other in their wedding attire for the first time on the Walnut Street Bridge in Harrisburg. The wind may have brought a slight chill to the air, but I’m almost positive that the day got warmer after Moriah and Matt spent some time together before the ceremony started.
Besides being in love with one another, Moriah and Matt are both music lovers, and they had three different musical acts perform during their wedding day. The Harrisburg Mandolin Ensemble played during portions of the ceremony, and husband-wife duo Hemlock Hollow played during the cocktail hour. The Harrisburg-based band That’s What She Said finished the night off with some of the tightest 80s and 90s party covers.
With that all said, you’re probably ready to see some photos. Special thanks to Briana for second shooting during the day along side of me. You’ll see some of her photos mixed in with mine below. Thanks for looking, and please leave a comment for these two great people!
